Her Story is a video game that mostly consistent of searching a police interrogation database (full of videos of the same woman talking with the police) to unravel a crime. I played Her Story for about 10 hours (although it only takes about 3 hours to finish the game). It's a terrific, fascinating game and it can definitely be used as a game for learning about game design, narrative, psychology, creating and testing a hypothesis based on evidence, even learning how to think strategically when sorting through data. Her Story turns on 2 simple game mechanics: searching keywords in the interrogation database and being limited to the first 5 search results. I spent hours strategically (and sometimes randomly) searching the database and watching the crime story unfold.
